Mr. UX redesigned the PSFK platform to help the company reach their audience, keep them reading, and attract advertising partners. Our work focused on making the mobile experience engaging to meet explosive mobile traffic growth.
WHAT WE DID
PSFK is a media company that tracks and reports on trends in design, advertising, retail, technology, travel and arts & culture news for a global community of creators and innovators.
In our redesign, we first did some basic housekeeping to make the site look great no matter what device users accessed it from. Since the site’s general usability and aesthetics needed touching up, we focused on improving page layouts, typography and navigation.
We then also integrated key brand elements such as the PSFK purple to create a smooth user experience that stood out from the competition. These updates better positioned PSFK as a brand and business.

A clear global navigation displaying the most timely news items like an important to-do list
Merchandising relevant content within the post page layouts to give the audience the opportunity to learn more about related topics and click on additional links
An infinite scroll to load subsequent articles, seamlessly leading users to their next read
We also supported PSFK in implementing our ideas, preparing a style guide with all the front-end elements they would need to build individual page templates accurately.
